Possible Fur Farms Reported in Missouri
Little is known about the fur industry in Missouri. Two neighboring states – Iowa and Illinois – have numerous fur farms between them, but in Missouri, only one fur farm has been confirmed to date (Mid-Missouri Fox Farm, 12640 Derstler Road, Richmond, MO 64085). Coalition Against Fur Farms has obtained documents from the Missouri Dept. of Wildlife with addresses of what may be previously unknown fur farms. The addresses are for farms breeding bobcats, wolves, and fox, though the exact purpose of the breeding is not known. All three are species that are killed for fur, and it is likely that some or all of these farms are killing animals for fur. An investigation into these addresses is needed. Any information is appreciated, and should be submitted to whistleblower [at] coalitionagainstfurfarms [dot] com. List of Missouri bobcat farms. List of Missouri wolf farms. List of Missouri fox...
